Lanvin, Versace, Armani; Los Angeles, New York and Milan. It's been a busy week for Jessica Alba, who has put in an appearance at all the most glamorous fashion parties, jetting across two continents over the last few days. And she doesn't even have a movie to promote.

Alba gave birth to her second daughter, Haven, in August, and seems keen to eschew the "mummy track".
She was on hand for Alber Elbaz in Los Angeles Friday night, as he launched his spring 2012 collection at Carondelet House, a Twenties Italian-style villa near Hollywood

Then it was to New York for the Glamour of the Year Awards, alongside Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lopez; and for Donatella Versace's Prince extravaganza to celebrate the design house's first clothing range for H&M.

"I just think it's amazing that every girl gets to know what it feels like to wear Versace, how cool is that? It's an iconic brand," Alba said.

Finally, she hopped on a plane to help her friend Giorgio Armani open his second hotel, in his home town of Milan (his first hotel venture was in Dubai). Alba shone in an outfit from the Armani Privé autumn/winter 2011 collection.

She recently told Lucky magazine that she's keen to get back to work: "I've kept my future in mind," she said. "I wasn't going to be a flash in the pan. I want my career to last a long time.

"Why am I here?" she added. "Sheer will and determination, dammit... and I hustled like crazy."
